launch web communicator from java?

i'm integrating a few applications, writing java glue between them. is there a way I can call (and launch) the wave web communicator, passing details like username, password etc?

if not the web client, how about the desktop client?

I am a little confused. I'm curious on what you want your application to do? The web communicator, I believe, is suppose to be a standalone. Depending on what you want to accomplish, you can, (I found most efficient for me) is modify the sample application and customize it to what you wish to accomplish. I modified a sample app and created a simple walkie talkie type of app.
