WAVE 4.0 Media server run on Windows 7

I am just wondering whether the 4.0 version of Media Server will run smoothly on a windows 7 professional?
I have problem installing Media server 4.0 onto Windows 7 Pro

Unfortunately no. We do not support the Media Server on any platform other than Server grade OS’s. In WAVE 4.0 this is only Server 2000 & 2003. In WAVE 4.5 we added Server 2008 and removed 2000.

You may be able to use Virtual PC to install the Media Server on Windows 7 though but we haven't tested it.

I've ran it on Windows XP with no issues....not supported, but it does work for me when testing different things. Haven't tried it on Windows 7, but I would try it and find out...but I wouldn't use it in production!!
