I am running Dispatch Communicator 4.5.2.90 on a workstation that has an internal sound card and a USB headset. I went to File > Settings > Devices and I setup the Mic and Headset to the USB device, unselect and notify to the internal sound card but for some reason after I close the application and I reopen it it comes back to all the devices set on USB. All the other settings are saved - like volume levels, active channels etc. Any idea what can cause this?
Thank you.

Can you try with a different user? Your filecache may not be getting saved to the Management Server for some reason and it's redownloading an old one when you login with that particular user. This will help us narrow down the issue so we can further troubleshoot.

Thank you,
Kenneth

In the lab it works switching to a new login, but not in the field. What I found when looking in the File cache was that two users that shouldn't be in the same directory are (it is in a directory that was created last year when this computer wasn't installed yet).

Could you tell me what the {E3E0796F-68FC-4425-9086-40EE5AAE384C} portion is from? Is it the unique ID of the computer? and is it typical that two computers have the same...

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\WAVE\Cfg\Filecache\{E3E0796F-68FC-4425-9086-40EE5AAE384C}

{E3E0796F-68FC-4425-9086-40EE5AAE384C} is the filecache of a particular user. If you're having issues with filecache, which I think you are, I recommend uninstalling WAVE and deleting C:\documents and settings\application data\WAVE\. You may need to enable "view all files and folders" to find this directory. This should give you a clean start.

Thank you,
Kenneth

So, I changed that zero_touch value and tested it today and it retained the headset as the primary device, so all is good.

Is there is any way to do # from the keypad?

Thanks again
