I am attempting to a create a channel access session as part of putting together an RCA capability to a running wave implementation. I used the documentation that comes with the system and set my channel access session up exactly as show in the document. When I check it using the statistics I find the the session is not running. Every item is identical and the standard channel I am using works very well with a multicast trunk and a point-to-point trunk and a recording session. Do you know of anything that might interfer with that particular session and prevent it from working? Would the session fail to run if something was blocking the ability to start a VPN endpoint?

When a Desktop Communicator logs in and uses RCA (VPN box is checkmarked) it will make a H.323 call into the Media Server for each channel. This call's audio is mixed into a session and output onto a standard channel. If RCA isn't working it's usually a firewall/network issue.

If you can make successful H.323 calls into the Media Server then RCA should work. If this is the case please email support@twistpair.com and open a ticket. We'll need a copy of your WAVE database and a debug log from the server.

Of course RCA is essentially V0.1 of SuperNodes and you should really look at using that technology instead. (It's easier to setup, dynamic, inherent failover etc).

Thank you,
Kenneth

I tried it and it appears to be working. This will take a while getting used to. Joe A.
