Dispatch Communicator User preferences

Is it possible to lock user preferences in a way that when they logout and log back in - the active channels, tabs, audio levels... are back to a predefined config? I achieved this somehow, by removing write access to the wave config files under \All Users\ Application Data\WAVE\Cfg for the administrator account but if I want to make more changes I need to enable write access on the files again. Also there is a brief error message when closing the console when the prefs are not saved. Is there a better way to achieve this?

That is the only way to achieve the functionality you desire currently.

We do offer an SDK so you have the ability to make your own client specifically tailored to your needs but there's nothing in our current release that has a configuration option for disabling user preferences.

Under Tools > Options when the Desktop Communicator is logged in there is an option for Run WAVE Desktop Client when I log in to my computer.

Make sure that is unchecked. Then it should not start up on reboot.
