I am looking for a way to pass thru a single point to point DS0 LMR traffic. Basically, I have 2 Motorola Quantars. One with AstroModem and the other one with V24 serial. For $$ economy we can afford a single DS0 not a full T1.
From what I understand I need a WIC combined with a DSU that can accept fractionnal T1; WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 would work I was told. This is the WAN side.
On the equipment side (LAN side) I would like to use an E&M card for the AstroModem and a V24 serial card. A friend of mine built such a project passing all traffic thru a single DS0 with Marathon equipment but I would like to consider other vendors; Cisco in fact.
I need suggestion like card model, router model, I could re-consider the DS0 for microwave possibly.
Bye for now,
