I am trying to use a Harris Communications hand held radio connected to a VoiceInterop AM360R.

When I transmit from another hand held radio, the speech and audio come through the Dispatch Communicator interface clearly, with no distortion or interference. However when I depress the PTT button on the Dispatch Communicator channel for the Harris radio, while I am able to hear the speech and make out the message, the sound coming through the hand held that is not connected has this annoying background buzz as long as I keep the Dispatch Communicator channel's PTT button depressed. That is, whenever I transmit from the Dispatch Communicator, I get this problem.

Does anyone have any suggestion for how I might isolate the source of - and possibly eliminate - that background buzz?

All this is happening inside a radius of less than 10 Metres. I have interchanged the two hand held radios, with no change in effect.

Moving the Dispatch Communicator session to another station seems to have no effect.

Logging in with a different Dispatch Communicator user has no effect

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated

Have you tried to contact VoiceInterop's support? This sounds like a AM360r configuration issue. I do know that you will need to use COR and enable VAD on the WAVE standard channel, for military radios anyways. This is a workable solution for labs but not in a production environment with limited bandwidth (COR will generate traffic constantly).
