Hi,
We have some users getting the following error message consistantly (every few minutes) for the entire day. Can you please assist? I have no idea where to even begin looking.
"Failed to retrieve user profiles from the server
ERROR: cURL operation failed, err: 28
The configuration from a previous successful login has been cached on this computer. Would you like to use the cached data?"
Thanks.

That error indicates the request has timed out. The first place to look is network connectivity. Can you access the WAVE Management Server from the machine having issues? Try ping first and then try to open it in Internet Explorer like this: "http://192.168.1.10/wave" without the quotes and the appropriate IP address.

Hi,
Network connectivity has been checked. This users are actually able to connect to the wave server, however, they receive this error message every so often and end up getting kicked out. I should also mention that there are other users in the same network segment which do not experience the same issue.
Thanks

Ok. I would now look at security policies on the domain or antivirus software on the machine. I've seen this happen when a customer forced Windows Updates and at the same time modified their global security policy.
What version of WAVE are you using? Have you tried uninstalling the Desktop client and then reinstalling?

For those interested: A reinstall of the Desktop Communicator solved this issue.

Full error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out with 0 out of -1 bytes received
Hello,
Im getting this error on one of my feeds but the 5 feed links still display after this error.
Is there a way to ignore this error and not have it show up?
Thanks
