I had a customer who successfully installed WAVE on a PC w/ CF and it worked! Then he tried another machine and it did not. Read below.
"I just wanted to follow up with on this matter of running Wave on a
compact flash card. We have found a solution that is working and we
believe it comes down to the cards itself. We have been trying to use
the Extreme III cards because they are readily available, but as you are
aware they just do not want to work.
Since then we have found a Transcend Ultra DMA which is working just
fine. Our best guess it that the Transcend card has a better read and
or write speed to the card than the Extreme III, thus making the
Transcend better for an OS over all."
