I have just configured a Multicast Zone who's upstream zone is Unicast. The Multicast Zone has One Standard Channel, One M/C Channel with an AM360 (Voice Interop) on it, There is one Media Server configured in the Zone. ALl the workstation are in the ZONE (all within multicast domain).

On Dispatch Communicator, we continually see either (a) multiple listings of the AM360 Channel, or (b) "unknown" channels any suggestions

PS: I noticed that in GLOBAL Settings the multicast address for the SuperNode and the SCC is the same (different port #'s).

Which version of WAVE?

Is this a clean install of Mgmt and Media servers or is this an upgrade?

Have you tried this with Desktop Communicator?

How are you interfacing the AM360? (multicast trunk, or an interface defined on the Media server)

Wave Version 3 (Latest Version)

Its a clean install. No upgrade.

There are two Zones. Warrenville (Unicast) top level zone. NewMarket Test Zone is downstream of Warrenvile and is multicast (on a local lan). Note Warrenvile ZOne does not in any way see the multicast traffice from newMarket.

The Am360 is configured as a Multicast Trunk. Channel: Radio NewMarket Test
There is a standard channeld called: NewMarket Test

A Session has been created: NewMarket Test Session which bridges Radio NewMarket Test and NewMarket Test.
Another Session has the dial in properties and has a participant of NewMarket Test
Another Session has the recording properties and also has a participant of NewMarket Test.
The sessions are defined with a MEDIA Server from Both Zones.

Just Tried with Desktop, the "Unknowns" dont appear there.
Another, thing they seem to be associated with dial in session.

The Unknowns seem to be associated with DIAL IN Sessions. just dialed in an Unknown appeard. Terminated the Call the unknown still remains.

Definitely the unknows are associated with the Dial in Session:

There are 2 zones
Warrenville
- UNICAST ZONE - Downstream is NEWMARKET
- all the calls are handled by the warrenville server ROIP01

NewMarket
- Multicast Zone UPSTREAM is Warrenvile
- Session 1: 1 Multicast Trunk Channel with an AM360, 1 Standard Channel hosted by a media server in NewMarket (NMROIP)
- Session 2: DIAL in Session hosted by ROIP01 (as that where the calls go to) with the NewMarket Standard Channel as a pariticpant.

Call into Warrenville and provide the ID of the NEWMARKET channel. Immediately shows up as 'unknown' and even when the call is terminated it doesnt go away.

Call into a similarily configured channel hosted soley in the warrenville zone and it works fine.

Seems to be a problem with control information being updated between zones.
