Is it any safety way to import a profile and its corresponding configuration data, like user, channels, etc to Manager Server.

You can move databases between WAVE servers, keep in mind you will need to reapply licensing, and rename Mediaservers and change the IP/configurl in c:\program files\twisted pair solutions\wave\mediaserver\wavemediaserver.ini
Here is a link to backing up and restoring WAVE databases:

Can I follow the same procedure to restore db.mdb that is created in other Manager Server? Is it possible to append to the exiting db.mdb with profile that was created in other Manager Server?

Correct, I use this procedure to load up customer databases in my labs for troubleshooting purposes.
You want to use the Management server interface to make changes to the database... Once you corrupt a database, it's nearly impossible to recover. At the end of the day, it just takes a second to make a new profile anyways, so even if you could append an existing database, it wouldn't save you much time.

Also make sure you know the password to the DB you are trying to access. If you have forgotten your password you can send the DB to us and we can clear the password field.

To expound on this thread a little further, I have a related question. I have a site that is still using WAVE 2.01. I am heading out to upgrade them to 4.0 or 4.5 (Depends on higher approval.) They have quite a few users (350-400 if I remember correctly), so it would be a pain to recreate them all. My question is, if I export the db.mdb from their 2.01 install, would the new 4.0 server import that file correctly?
If not, any suggestions for performing this upgrade while maintaining their users?
Thanks,
Dave Hardin

Dave,
You should have no problems upgrading from 2.x to 4.x (and beyond). But I do recommend making a backup of the database just in case.
With anything more than say 50 users I would recommend using Active Directory integration (or maybe they already are). This way you wouldn't have to worry about recreating all the users in the event you did have to start with a fresh DB.
Thanks,
Kenneth
