To integrate WAVE into the CS1000, BCM, or I believe a succession PBX that supports H.323 Trunks.
On NRS,
1) Defined the WAVE Media Server as a non-RAS H.323 Endpoint - Static IP
2) Defined the Dispatcher Client as a non-RAS H.323 Endpoint - Static IP
3) Defined CDP route XXX (whatever we use as extensions) to the Endpoint - WAVE Media Server
4) Defined CDP route XXX (whatever we use as extensions) to Endpoint - Dispatcher
On Call Server,
1) Added Distant Steering Code XXX to Call Server - route to H.323 trunk
***FYI - also ensure Nortel switch is using G711 codec (turn off g729), delete the G729 Annex A codec from the trunk as an option. Only G711 can be enable***
WAVE supports G729, but not the Annex A version you currently use. I also think that Nortel has to connect to WAVE media server, through an H.323 trunk set to port 1720 and not just to an H.323 endpoint within the Nortel switch.
The most important thing is deleting the G729 Codec on the trunk. Disabling it will not be good enough, if you just disable the G729 codec, what will happen is that the Nortel switch and the media server will auto negotiate to that codec and you will be able to connect from Nortel to WAVE…just won’t hear any audio passing through.
