If you try to login to a Desktop Communicator and get a dialog box with this error: Failed to retrieve user profiles information from the server. ERROR: Automation error. The operating system cannot run %1. (-2147024714) Try making sure libeay32.dll has a date of 03/31/2004 - it's possible you have an older version and it's crashing Desktop.
You will get this error no matter what username or password you use. You can even use falsified information.
You can copy over the one in the WAVE installation package and this will alleviate your issues. Usually something else overwrites that DLL with something older.
