Issue:
Channels using a specific sound device instead of 'default'. Once that device is no longer accessible WAVE gives an error on startup stating 'cannot load channel because the sound device is down'. The channel is then grayed out and unusable.
Solution:
There is a master channel control field in WAVE Desktop Communicator that is violet in color. Click the check box to the left of the PTT button. This will check all channels to be controlled by the options in the master control area. You can then select a different sound device overriding the settings for the grayed out channels. Then check the Ovr check box to the right of the PTT button and it will apply the new settings.
